Giresun Municipality and the sister city of Italy Alba City Mayor Maurizio Marello, Italy’s former Turkish Ambassador Carlo Marsili, Hazel Association President Flavio Borgna and accompanying delegation Giresun Chamber of Commerce and Industry visited.
In the meeting where Giresun Mayor Kerim Aksu and Yavuz Gida Company’s executive officer Bulent Yavuz attended Chairman of Giresun Chamber of Commerce and Industry Hasan Çakırmelikoğlu said “After Turkey, Italy is in the second place in hazelnut production. Investigation result of both countries’ agricultural policies should be conducive to a lasting and hazelnut producers supporting a road map. Giresun economy includes agriculture with 54.7 percent, service with 32.6 percent and manufacturing with 12.6 percent. In addition to hazelnut and tea, the productions are made in textiles, machinery, furniture and beverage industry. In this way we can develop our commercial dialogue with sister city Alba. ”
Kerim Aksu, Mayor of Giresun, said: “Despite the fact that it is only 2.5 months, we were very happy with the visit of our sister city. We will soon establish commercial dialogues with the delegation from the Chamber of Commerce and Industry and Trade Commodity.”
